A rustic-modern lodge set deep in the trees. Four bedrooms — a king-bed master suite with a private balcony and stone soaking tub, two more king rooms (one with an added double), and a queen room — and a living room made for the whole group to gather. The master suite opens to its own balcony and a spa bath with an oversized stone soaking tub. The kitchen is stocked with organic herbs from the gardens, which you're welcome to walk and gather from for your own table. Just outside the door: a natural saltwater pool with three waterfalls, and an eight-person hot tub set beneath the stars. A mile from Scott's Flat Lake, ten minutes from Nevada City.

Before you book

The usual questions

How many people can stay?

Up to 15, across four bedrooms and 5,500 square feet. Additional guests need approval in advance and may carry an added charge.

Is there a minimum stay?

Two nights.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is after 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you need different timing, ask ahead and we will do our best to make it work.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are welcome — please clean up after them. Assistance animals are always welcome.

Can we record while we are here?

Yes. Madrone Studios can be added to your stay for $500 per day on request. Ask about studio time →
