Questions, answered

Rates, rules, what is on the land, and how to get here — the things people ask before they book the Lodge.

This covers overnight stays at the Lodge. Weddings and private events run on a separate agreement — start at private events. Anything not answered here: email hello@stonehouselodge.io and we will sort it out before you book.

01 Booking & rates

What does it cost to stay at the Lodge?

The Lodge is $2,000 per night with a three-night minimum, so a three-night stay starts at $6,000. The figure in the booking widget is an estimate — your confirmed quote follows once we lock the dates, with taxes and anything you add included.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes — three nights.

Do I book instantly, or do I have to inquire first?

You book and pay online. The stay is confirmed once payment goes through, and we collect the full amount at booking, so there is nothing left to pay on arrival unless you add something during your stay, like extra guests or the music studio.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation within 24 hours of booking, as long as check-in is more than seven days away. Cancel seven or more days before check-in and you receive a 50% refund of your stay total. Cancel within seven days of check-in and the booking is non-refundable. To cancel, email hello@stonehouselodge.io — refunds return to your original payment method.

What happens if you have to cancel on us?

On the rare chance something outside our control makes a stay impossible — wildfire, evacuation, a utility failure — we let you know as soon as we can and refund you for the affected nights.

Can we stay longer than a couple of weeks?

Yes. Long-term stays of 28 days or more are allowed. Email hello@stonehouselodge.io and we will work out the dates with you.

02 Your group & arrival

How many people can stay at the Lodge?

The Lodge sleeps up to 15 across four bedrooms and 5,500 square feet. Please stay within that limit — additional guests need approval in advance and may carry an added charge. Ask about extra guests →

Do we get the house to ourselves?

Yes. Booking the Lodge gives your group the whole house — nobody else is placed in it with you. If you want the full 44 acres for a larger gathering, that is a different kind of booking; start at private events.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is after 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you need different timing, ask ahead and we will do our best to make it work.

Is it self check-in?

Yes — self check-in with a smart lock. Luggage drop-off is allowed if you arrive before the house is ready.

03 House rules

Are pets allowed?

Pets are welcome. Please clean up after them, and know that you are responsible for any pet-related damage. Assistance animals are always welcome.

Can we host a party, a wedding, or an event?

No unauthorized large parties or events. Small gatherings and day guests are fine with our approval in advance, so reach out first. For weddings and larger events we have a separate side of the property built for it — start at private events.

Can we smoke?

No smoking indoors.

Are there cameras on the property?

There are security cameras on the exterior of the property. There are never cameras inside any of the homes.

What are we responsible for?

Leaving things roughly as you found them. You are responsible for damage beyond normal wear, missing items, extra cleaning, or unapproved guests during your stay, and by booking you authorize us to charge your payment method for those costs if they come up.

04 The property

Is there a pool and a hot tub?

Yes — a private saltwater pool, open all year, 24 hours, and a private eight-person hot tub. Neither is gated, and the land includes fire features, uneven natural ground, wildlife, and open water nearby. You and your group use these at your own risk and are responsible for supervising children and anyone you bring.

Is there wifi? Can we work from there?

Yes — wifi, plus a dedicated workspace in a room with a door.

What else is included?

A full kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meals, in-unit laundry, free parking on the premises, and a private patio. Cleaning during your stay is available but not included.

Can we get food, or do we cook?

Either. The kitchen is yours, and a private chef is available on request, cooking from the regenerative farm on the property. See dining for how that works. Ask about the chef →

Can we record music while we are here?

Yes. Madrone Studios can be added to your stay for $500 per day on request. Ask about studio time →
